It's time for Male on Monday with Stefanie London, as she talks to the Pink Heart Society about the delights of Harvey Specter!
The Pink Heart Society Male on Monday blogs always make easing into a new week that little bit easier. Nothing like a bit of man candy to help rid oneself of the Monday Blues!
On the TV watching front, I’m a bit of a late adopter. I didn’t start watching Game of Thrones until it was four seasons in and I’m only just getting around to watching Suits. WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG??
Can we spend a moment sharing our appreciation for Gabriel Macht (who plays the impeccable Harvey Specter)?
Apart from being seriously gorgeous (umm…that smile? *swoon*) and having a penchant for Tom Ford suits (in the show), the Harvey Specter character is my type of alpha.
I struggled with the concept of the alpha hero for a long time, being that I’m a modern woman who’s grown up valuing independence and feminism. I took me a while to realise that alpha heroes didn’t have to be controlling jerks...or alph-holes as I’ve heard them referred to.
Harvey Specter is the perfect blend of intelligence, competence and prowess that I like in an alpha.
He has a sense of humour and while he’s not so good at talking about his feelings, his actions always demonstrate them. He’s far from perfect and he’s willing to cross the line for what he believes in, and it’s that strong conviction and slight bullheadedness that gets me every time.
What can I say? I love a man who goes after what he wants.
If you haven’t watched suits you really should! Not only is there enough man candy to go around, the story has a great blend of humour and drama and the characters are so much fun.
Are you already a fan? Raise your hand if you’re also in love with Harvey Specter.
Stefanie London is about to release a new series! Kite Harbor is a small town in Maine where love is in the air. The first book, A Kiss in Kite Harbor, will be out in July:
When successful plus size model, Shelby Jenkins, is forced to return to her hometown of Kite Harbor, Maine, she must face her past demons. But asking for help doesn’t come naturally and it’s doubly hard when she needs it from the boy who broke her heart. Now he’s all grown up and is more tempting than a double fudge sundae with a cherry on top.
Nate Ritter loves being a teacher in the small town where he grew up. When the woman who stole his teenage heart returns, he’ll do anything to prove he’s no longer the insecure boy who betrayed her. As long as he makes sure he doesn’t fall for Shelby since she has a big, exciting life waiting for her back in the city.
