Male on Monday: Pedro Pascal

PHS editor and Harlequin Historical author Michelle Styles waxes lyical on Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal -- Oberyn Martell the Red Viper aka the Prince of Dorne

From wikipedia Pascal as Trisano
Anyone who has read PHS over the last few years knows that I find the men of Game of Thrones inspiring and have done since the first series was shown... My daughter and I have been anticipating the Prince of Dorne aka the Red Viper's appearance for several seasons and Pedro Pascal doesn't disappoint. He is playing Oberyn  Martell how I envisioned which is lovely.
I look forward to more of Dorne and the Sand Snakes as I have read the books but don't want to give spoilers.

Pedro Pascal is a Chilean actor who was born in Santiago,Chile in  2 April 1975. His family fled the brutal Pinchot regime aoon after his birth and were granted political asylum in Denmark. They then moved to San Antonio Texas and then Orange County where he attended Orange County High School for Arts. He has lived in New York since 1993 and went to the TISCH School of Arts. He is 5' 11" tall.
There is very little about his private life.

In addition to Game of Thrones, he played Eddie in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and has had parts in Homeland, the Good Wife, the Mentalist and Graceland. But his first love seems to be live theatre and he has appeared in numerous productions both on and off Broadway.
You can tell he is a theatre actor by the way he holds the screen in Game of thrones. You know he is there. It is his joie de vivre and zest for life as his upmost belief in himself and his desire to revenge his dead sister. There is depth to his characterisation.  And of course his cheek bones. Plus he has a great voice.

In addition to being a long time fan of GOT Michelle Styles writes warm, witty and intimate historical romances in a wide range of times periods for Harlequin Hisotrical. Return of the Viking Warrior was published this month and Saved by the VIking Warrior is released in September. You can find out more about Michelle and her books on
