Male on Monday: Brian O'Driscoll

Because it is St Patrick's day and Ireland
won the Six Nations on Saturday, PHS editor Michelle Styles looks at Brian O'Driscoll

Number 10 Brian O Driscoll 2007 RWC
Irish eyes were smiling on Saturday when the Irish Rugby Union team won the Six Nations, beating France in a thrilling match. It was made all the more special because it was Brian ODriscoll's last appearance for Ireland.

Brian ODriscoll is simply most capped rugby player ever. (A player is said to be capped every time he plays for one of the national teams). At 5' 10", with reddish brown hair, and square jaw, he is very easy on the eye. He also sports a good pair of legs that have helped Leinster (his team), Ireland and the British Lions on to victory. He is quite simply a legend at centre. (To sum up the appeal of rugby -- broad shoulders and muddy thighs)

Born 21 January 1979, he married  actress Amy Hubermann in 2010 and they have one child.he has shown exceptional leadership both on and off the pitch, and will be missed.

Michelle Styles writes warm, witty and intimate historical romance set in a wide range of time periods. Her next book Return of the Viking Warrior will be published in May 2014. You can learn more about Michelle and her books on www.michellestyles.co.uk
