Blah. Blah. Blah. Make a list, only to find it twice as long at the end of the day than it was in the beginning. There's no time to be sick, to manage to get the kids to rehearsal and taikwondo and scouts at the same time, to get words on the page, to do a million things.
So I stole five minutes. Committed to an entire five minutes to just put down what is going right. My challenge to you on this Fill The Well Friday. Take five minutes. What are you grateful for?
- My family - dang, they are cute
- Good healthcare
- Television - it's a calming background voice, and the ideal escape since it wants nothing back in return
- Hot tea - the way it warms my chilled fingers and soothes a worried soul
- Ice cream - with lots of tippings and mix ins. Yum
- Tiffany lamps - stained glass is lovely
- Zumba - doesn't even feel like working out
- Saunas
- The sound of rain
- Pedicures - I am a firm believer in toe color
- Nail polish strips - I actually have nails now
Movie night- Bubbles
- Slipper shoes
- Remote controls
- Fresh white towels
- Walking on sand
- Pretty dresses
- Boots
- Seashells
- Fortune Cookies
- Challah
- Hanukkah
- Stretching
- Netflix - odd, since I'm not a subscriber
- Family game night
- Not coming in last on Mario Cart
- Waterfalls
- The sound of snow falling
- Ring around the rosie
- Cannonball!
See? I feel better already. Do it....even if you only have a minute to list ten things. Give it a shot. The only thing you have to lose is a crummy mood.
