My good friend Diane Balch is an amazing cook and this recipe is so delicious you’d never know how super easy it is to make! Perfect for when you’re on deadline or in a rush, but delicious enough to serve at a dinner party with some crusty bread and a salad.
Spaghetti with Clam Sauce

Note: There is nothing exact about this recipe. The amounts are an approximation. Taste it as you make it and adjust the seasoning.
1 pound Barilla Plus Spaghetti
1/4 cup of extra-virgin olive oil
a squirt of anchovy paste
4 cloves of garlic chopped
Red pepper flakes or ground red pepper
1/4 cup dry white wine
1 can chopped clams with juice
1 can chopped clams without juice
Handful of chopped fresh parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
Heat a large skillet on medium low add olive oil and garlic (salt). Do not brown the garlic. When oil starts to heat lower and add anchovy paste. Dissolve the paste into the oil by mixing. Add red pepper flakes. Turn heat up to medium high and add wine and chopped clams. Mix and simmer until sauce starts to thicken after about 5min. You don't want to over heat the clams so remove the pan from the heat. http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
Boil paste water with 1 tbsp of salt in it. Cook pasta al dente.
Add pasta to skillet mix and top with parsley. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Top with Parmesan cheese.
