YES - You DID read that right!!! Here at The Pink Heart Society we are ecstatic to announce that we will be having a real life Harlequin Mills & Boon Editor guesting for us this month!!!!
In The Pink Heart Society's Yahoo loop we have put the call out for questions to ask our lovely Guest and you can join in by adding your questions there or by emailing us at email@example.com .... To join the loop is simple - Just click on the Yahoo! Groups key on the sidebar to the left of the Blogazine and then follow the join up process...
We will be taking questions until the start of the week when we will go through them all and send a list* to our Guest...
So if you are curious about the life of a Harlequin Mills & Boon Editor or what their day entails or how many authors are with the company or what that slush pile really looks like - then you are but a click away from finding out!!!
And don't forget to visit us here at The Pink Heart Society Blogazine to read the answers and to meet one of the hard-working team at the London Offices!!!!!!!
*Obviously due to the limited space we have here at the Blogazine we will be restricted to the number of questions that we can ask... These WILL NOT include any individual queries about manuscripts or any pitches for books... And The Pink Heart Society Editors will reserve the right to choose which questions they feel the Blogazine readers would find most interesting...*
SO COME JOIN THIS EXTRA SPECIAL CHRISTMAS VISIT FROM THE LONDON OFFICE and help us make our SPECIAL GUEST feel that familiar PINK HEART SOCIETY appreciation of all things CATEGORY ROMANCE related....
And now some unfinished Pink Heart Society business related to last month's HAMPER WINNER!!! We asked the question:
Which couple make up your favourite television romance (or hoped for romance for all you shippers out there) of all time????
Some classics such as Buffy and Angel (Ally votes for Spike there BTW). David and Maddie from Moonlighting - boy that brought back memories. I only wish we all didn't know how much they hated one another off screen ;). And Ross and Rachel in Friends. That one is a great example of a show that didn't lose it's edge or its audience once they got togehter.
A few fabulous soap hopefuls which is too much fun as the whole point of a soap opera is the ever-changing balance of will they won't they! Luke and Laura would be probably the most famous will they won't they and will they again???
And then the sci-fi shows seem to have a whole shipper thing going on too. The likes of Stargate and Battlestar Galactica (which has cruelly been taken off Australian TV mid season!!!) getting lots of votes.
The funniest was the "two skinnies" from the Biggest Loser.
But our winner, is Ellie who was the first to choose Mulder and Scully from the X-Files. Many would say this was the pair who gave "shippers" a home, a name, a voice. Ellie, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your address and all those great prizes are yours!Sharron McClellan's Bombshell HIDDEN SANCTUARY
